Yesterday I popped down the road to meet ceramicist Rebecca Callis in her converted Victorian wash house, now lovely garden studio. Our local walk, which takes around an hour, is very colourful at the moment with the yellow fields of rapeseed ablaze. The bluish late evening light provides a stunning backdrop too. I was thinking about the work of Franco Fontana as I took my walk.
