Pop up portrait in All Saints Church, Sinnington, North Yorkshire

Pop up portrait

I have an idea mulling about doing a pop up portrait exhibition so, as I had an hour free to wander around the village of Sinnington last night, I took one of my framed portraits as an experiment.

Probably not good to have one on the ground.

Like the football net background but might work better on an easel so it’s a bit like a goalie in the middle of the goal.

In All Saints Chuch – love this, prompted thoughts that this would be a fabulous exhibition space.

On a post – height wise this is about right, it was quite sunny so reflections are a bit of an issue.

Up a tree – well lots of those (and branches to hang from) in the woods around the village – a trail maybe with a guide and stories about the different portraits sitters? On the May Day celebration that takes place in the village each year??

Although I’m not sure about them being on the ground I do like the idea on them being surprisingly placed.

And a bit of humour as well of course. That was fun and given me lots to think about.

If you have any feedback on this very rough idea do let me know below.
