Just 10 mins stroll from our AirBnB is our local beach which we visited at the perfect time – sunset. Due to being on the west of Guernsey, L’Eree Beach is perfect to watch the sun go down.

Bit of background from a tourist website:
In terms of history and sights, L’Eree Beach has more than any other beach in Guernsey. At the northern end, looking over the causeway to Lihou Island, you will find a collection of WWII bunkers that remain in incredible condition. Just down the hill from the bunkers, you can explore an ancient, Neolithic tomb that sits hidden underground (Le Creux es Faies), and if you continue south along L’Eree Beach, you will find the unmissable silhouette of Fort Grey, also known as the “cup and saucer”. The fortification of Fort Grey was once used to defend the long stretch of L’Eree Beach, however, it is now used as a museum to the maritime history of the island.
The first thing to catch my eye was this rocky outcrop, just behind that was the road and I liked the contrast of the angular house beyond.

The sea wall offered opportunities too.

I’m not sure what function these rocks have that stick out? Maybe breaking up the power of storm waves?

Those bunkers were eye-catching too.

Didn’t have much time on day 2 but got back down to the beach just as the sun setting so quickly captured these:
