A few days on the island with the family is always a tonic – walks, eating out, catching up and Bella’s tenth birthday. Here’s some photographs created while I was there.
The house boats in Bembridge are always fun to walk past, there’s usually work being done and it’s now looking quite trendy with several designer boats that look they like arrived recently or perhaps are restoration jobs.

The area across from the house boats is known as the ‘duver’ – tussock grassland, wetland, gorse and the occasional tree. One of these has died but been left and is decorated by local children.
