I do struggle with Helmsley. It’s very pretty. The tourists love it. And there are obvious photographic opportunities. But I find it less interesting than other places because it is so picturesque. So that’s what drove me to go yesterday. To challenge myself, to dig a little deeper. Much of what I shot I’m not happy with but these are perhaps moving in the right direction. I will return however!






I am not interested in shooting new things. I am interested to see things new.
