It’s not even December but coinciding with the arrival of the town fair has been some high winds from Storm Arwen which brought with it freezing temperatures and some snow. I could hear cars crunching on the icy snow early this morning so got up and headed out to take some pictures of the High Street. The Christmas lights were put up last week and though not all are functioning it is starting to look quite festive.
I thought I’d take the opportunity to have a go at some abstract shots as it was still quite dark when I left the house around 6am. I needed to get the ISO quite high to get anything but was interested to see what I might get.
It was freezing but I stuck at it a bit longer and altered my settings a bit more to capture some more realistic images of the fair and some shop windows.
And that was it – hasty retreat to the warmth of home.
