Finally the day came, my first photographic exhibition. Setting it up at the Moorside Rooms last week took a lot longer than we thought, some 4 hours, but with my sister’s help we managed to get the photographs (printed on fibreboard) lined up and looking good. Libby and Maggie created a lovely display of art work from the pupils at Kirkby School so with the addition of the club members, some pigeons and Libby’s soundscape we were all ready to go by 10am.
We made a rough estimate probably 150 people came through on the day and with 19 books sold we reflected it had been a success. Lots of lovely positive comments so will definitely look to do it again for the next project, whatever that may be.
