Quite by chance I came across a lengthy appreciation of the photographer Ernst Haas on YouTube which I found inspiring. Part of the Masters of Photography series it looks at his colour work. He was a pioneer – exhibiting at MoMA, even before Eggleston. The video critically reviews many of his most famous images.
As a result of watching this I’m certainly going to think more about colour, motion blur and, as it says in the video, including three areas of visual interest within the shot! Now there’s a challenge!
