Up early again but with my walking boots having collapsed yesterday I decided to walk along the road to Patterdale and then just a bit further to Glenridding.
The walk began with me herding two sheep off the road and into a nearby field. I then spotted a my first red squirrel so good start.
Didn’t spot a great deal in Patterdale but this fence and two little characters caused me to pause!
Did take a few more shots but nothing made the cut. It rained most of the morning but by the time friends, Kitty and Ernest arrived the sun had come out so we went for a gentle walk up the nearest hill.
Ernest’s glowing head became a source of inspiration.
